Posterior Chain Muscles and Jumping Higher

Your posterior chain muscles are the most important muscles for jumping higher. PERIOD.

Why?

Because they contribute the most to your overall vertical jump.

They are also the most undertrained and most underdeveloped muscles in most athletes.

It’s important to emphasize this fact because most athletes and trainers don’t know this.

Your posterior chain muscles are your lower back, glutes (butt) and hamstrings.

The best exercises for training them are squats and deadlifts.

Try to focus on lifting HEAVY weights FAST when doing these exercises (but be sure to always maintain proper form).
