According to the dictionary definition, They most all, have commited Treason against our country. Look it up in your Dictionary.

You should start this filing of Treason against Senator DeMint of South Carolina, the Republican extremist involved with the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) cult seeking world dominance and their co-conspirators, the DC-based owners of Senator Ensign’s secretive C Street House, the "Christian Mafia" (as they call themselves), a.k.a., "The Family" (Sharlett, 2008) or "The Foundation." DeMint, in his wrong-headed attempt to upstage a sitting president during wartime, actually CAUSED the outbreak of violence against Iranian demonstrators when he deliberately ignored President Obama’s (our Commander-in-Chief’s) policy decision for neutrality in the Iranian election dispute, and also caused the massive male Muslim audience of the religious leader, the Ayatollah, to chant "Death to America". In case you do not recall this Treasonous act in or around July 2009, DeMint and two of his right-wing minions appeared on CNN (broadcast INTERNATIONALLY, in IRAN too.) to protest (during WARTIME) our elected President’s policy decision on how to handle the election dispute and subsequent demonstrations in Iran (President Obama wisely chose NEUTRALITY as the OFFICIAL STANCE of the UNITED STATES). DeMint (whom the Ayatollah later referred to as "an American statesman") idiotically spoke out in support of the demonstrators (sabotaging our president’s behind the scenes reassurances to Iranian leaders that the U.S. was NOT in any way involved in the demonstrations as was feared by Iranian leaders due to our duplicitous past) and then the treasonous turdblossom used words that were LATER QUOTED BY THE AYATOLLAH: "REGIME CHANGE"—DeMint had the unmittigated GALL to speak out from U.S. soil, which the U.S. is AT WAR WITH TWO MUSLIM NATIONS and in DELIBERATE DEFIANCE OF A SITTING PRESIDENT DURING WARTIME to call for REGIME CHANGE! The man should face a firing squad or at least should be spending the rest of his demonic days in prison as a TRAITOR! Find the Ayatollah’s speech to an all-male Muslim audience in the filled mosque (I watched it on C-SPAN) and listen when the Ayatollah speaks first of President Obama’s "very nice letter" (revealing behind-the-scenes efforts on the part of our democratically elected president to set up diplomatic ties that were obliterated by bratboy DeMint’s egomaniacal rant) and then follows this comment by saying, "but then an American statesman speaks of regime change" and he paused. At this point, two days into the demonstrations, no violence against the demonstrators had occurred, but thanks to DeMint, this was about to change: The Ayatollah continued by asking his massive audience of Muslims: "Which am I to believe?" Immediately, and in unison, every single person in the mosque shouted chants of "Death to America! Death to America!" which tells us they believed the "regime change" comment so carelessly and foolishly used by a very TREASONOUS Senator DeMint, who sparked the subsequent violence against the demonstrators since Iran’s leaders now believed that a treacherous United States was behind them, but who also sparked renewed RAGE against the United States and its citizens, endangering this nation for years to come! If this is not treason, what is?

The Democrats are actually trying very hard on a daily basis to REVERSE the Treasons committed by the Bush/Cheney regime and the cult-evangelically-controlled GOP who are bent upon achieving world dominance after first staging a coup of our own government from within (Goldberg, 2006; Schaefer, 2007; Sharlett, 2008). Recall, if you will, the act of Treason committed by Vice President Cheney when he outed the identity of a CIA operative DURING WARTIME—simply because he was in a snit that the woman’s husband refused to lie of WMDs so that they could "justify" illegally invading Iraq. Every single covert operative who was using the same cover company on their business cards or in their dealings with foreign governments WAS EXPOSED by Cheney’s Treasonous act, putting these operatives’ lives and their respective missions in danger. Deregulation (the Republican’s meaning for "smaller government") was not only STUPID, but could be called Treasonous if someone looked deeply enough, because the lack of oversight (which is by Constitutional decree the job of Congress) produced the housing/credit markets collapse, the price-gouging on gas and oil pricinings, and the complete meltdown of our entire financial system—making the Republicans who pursued blanket deregulation "domestic enemies"—as are the cult-evangelicals who have tried since Reagan days (Goldberg, 2009) to OVERTHROW our democracy in favor of a single-fundamentalist-religion THEOCRACY, and they are still trying to achieve this goal through people like Michael Farris’s "Generation Joshua" or the notorious C Street House in Washington DC. You want to talk TREASON, then you take a GOOD HARD LOOK at all of the REPUBLICAN EXTREMISTS, denounced as "crazies for God" by one of their own, th

Article 1 sec 2, US constitution, provides one house representative for every 30,000 people. No amendment to the constitution changed that. I understand that a 1929 reapportionment act from congress may have changed the number. How can a law or act by congress override what is in the constitution? Isn’t an amendment to the constitution really required? With 300,000,000 people in the US, at the next census we would have 10,000 representatives using 1rep per 30000 people. Unwieldy yes but constitutional.

The number of representatives in the House of Representatives is determined by a states population. The higher a states population the more representatives that state has in the House. This is determined by the U.S. Census which conducts a census of the U.S. every 10 years, the next being in 2010. Additionally, if a states population is lower than the previous census, that state will lose a representative in the House.

There are only 535 voting members in Congress.

However, there are 538 electoral votes — the extra three representing the District of Columbia, which has electoral votes, but no voting representatives in Congress.

lol I have probably voted more than you have been alive booo. The question was how much money would be saved? Perhaps I am not the one who should pay attention, please read the question again.
The thought behind this is that would a true direct democracy save money versus a representative democracy?

No, that would take away the balance of power and leave us open to a dictator.

A couple of years ago, I had stumbled upon a website for my College Research Paper on Gays and Lesbians. It was fantastic and really helpful. It had the name of the senator or representative (you could switch between lists) and it said "gay rating" (gave a number on a scale from -5 to 5) and also told if they were "gay friendly" or "anti-gay", plus if you clicked on their name it gave votes for (or against) gays. Does anyone know where I can find a website like that again. I need one! Thank You!!

Don’t know if they have a list, but Log Cabin Republicans are a large grass roots gay & lesbian political group.
