The number one reason women fail to hit their weight loss and fitness goals boils down to one thing… motivation. They end up falling down when their motivation wains, which it does for everybody.
But there are some things that you can do that will help you push through those tough times. These are three things you can do by yourself and share with your friends or support group to help keep you accountable.
Fitness Journal
This is really important and can really help you hit your goals and have fun doing it. A fitness journal is so powerful because you can see your progress as your make it. And there are few things that are so motivating as seeing your own progression.
Here’s one tip to make having a journal even more powerful. Once a week, take a picture of your body wearing the same outfit. Now you can watch the numbers and see your body change.
Use Pictures
Grab a picture of women that you really want to model. Maybe that is a fitness model or maybe it can be one of your friends. But having a person who has the body you really want and looking at that picture everyday will help keep you motivated.
It helps to remind you why you are pushing yourself so hard. When you achieve that body, you can work on maintaining it or find someone new to shoot for.
Tell Everybody
This tip is tough, but it works. When you tell everybody you know about what you want to accomplish, you will bump up against a lot of resistance. For some reason the people who are closest to you will be the first to shoot you down.
But if you tell them then you will have a motivation to prove them wrong. It’s a tough form of motivation, but getting a little angry to prove somebody wrong can be powerful motivation.
