How do presidential candidates manage campaigning and thier job in congress?

Seems like they are wasting our tax money and not doing thier jobs while they try to get elected. Not that it matters cuz congress doesn’t seem to be able to get anything done anyways.
They campaign and ignore Congress. I am of the opinion that if they are campaigning they need to take an unpaid leave from Congress. Not sure but maybe that would keep them thinking about what this country needs instead of what they need. It might shorten the campaign season down to a mere year instead of 2 or in some cases longer.

Since they do nothing in Congress………their voting record as evidence………there is nothing to manage.
And we are being told immigration is broken!

Why do you think they want to get reelected so much? It is not really that much work to sit in congress.

Politicians who are current Senators or officials leave their work to campaign for the coming election.

They don’t. Besides, being a member of congress is not a full time job for these folks. They have staffers read the bills, do the research and all they do is speechafy and cast their vote the way that best suits their political agenda.
