Are you aware how hard it is going to be for Obama to keep his campaign promises w/ a Pelosi/Reid Congress?

December 142009

Obama is talking about a tax ‘cut’ for 95% of those who get a paycheck (even though 30% already don’t pay any taxes)…

How is he going to accomplish this? The ‘rich’ that Obama wants to go after aren’t going to be around forever if you tax them to death…and many ‘rich’ people are getting hammered just as bad as anybody else due to the financial crisis…..how is Obama going to provide healthcare for everybody, CUT taxes, and still balance the budget? All w/ a very liberal Congress that may be able filibuster proof and led by Pelosi and Reid? Is Obama going to veto the bills they send him?

Are Obama supporters aware of how difficult it is for Obama to keep his campaign promises?

I know.. it’s easier to promise things that are already enacted by the Bush admin.

It will be next to impossible to do everything he’s been saying.

Most Americans haven’t actually thought about the prospect of either Obama/McCain ACTUALLY being the president however.

They just like the excitement of trying to pick a winner.

Nothing good will come out of this election…..the dollar is crashing and no one seems to care…..

ya i agree. he’s going to have to really get his hands dirty to fulfill his promises. i doubt he’ll be able to do all of those things, as active as he will try to be won’t work because these policies are all contradictory. Health care for everybody and tax cuts for almost everybody?? who’s gonna pay for that??

I wish what you say was true but the opposite is actually the case. Obama will just rubber stamp what Pelosi does. See my question I just asked on taxes. It is not just one tax Obama is for.

It is well confirmed that Obama is the most liberal Senator we have. Pelosi is the Democrat majority leader and being a tax and spend liberal herself, she will be walking lock step with Obama on just about anything he wants to get thru Congress.

That is why it is such a dangerous thing. What is America thinking right now. There will be no check or balance for atleast the first 2 years of an Obama administration.

We really need to elect John McCain to prevent runaway government spending and taxation.

Sen. Obama has not promised to balance the budget. That was Pres. Reagan’s line and what Pres. Clinton did — with great help from a bi-partisan Congress.

He has the veto. I wish him, and us, luck.

The increased tax will be on those making $250,000 and up.

Don’t forget about Social Security tax. Every wage earner gets taxed on the first dime he/she makes — and that is not refunded.
