What if you are stuck in the Library of Congress for 1 weeks what would each candidate do? McCain PALIN, Obama?

October 312009

and Biden.

I am sure that they and most of the rest of the world would carry on with their own lives. If I were stuck in the Library of Congress it would likely be my own friends and family that came looking not the four of them.

who are campaigning for congress in NY in the next election?

October 312009

senate, and house of represantitives
and what party they belong to?

Hillary for one,

5/5/2009, Poll: Chairman Ben Bernanke says in the coming months we will likely see "sizable job loses"?

October 312009

Do you agree or disagree?

In a survey last month, 71% of American CEOs say they expect to cut jobs in the next six months. See http://www.domain-b.com/economy/worldeconomy/20090408_american_ceos.html , http://www.businessroundtable.org/sites/default/files/Business%20Roundtable%20to%20Announce%20First%20Quarter%20CEO%20Economic%20Outlook%20Survey%20Results.pdf .

Accordingly, Chairman Ben S. Bernanke has testified before Congress, saying: "we are likely to see further sizable joblosses and increased unemployment in coming months." "In particular, businesses are likely to be cautious about hiring, implying that the unemployment rate could remain high for a time, even after economic growth resumes." See http://www.federalreserve.gov/newsevents/testimony/bernanke20090505a.htm .

This results from a very poorly written economic "stimulus package." Honorable Sarah Palin would have wrote a very effective stimulus package and Bernanke would be singing economic praises right now.

What’s your political party and gender?

I agree
Freedom and Prosperity
Female

Yes, Palin would have wrote a much better package and a a lot leaner.

If Obama is ahead in the Fabricated and Deceitful POLLS, then why is the War Hero and Patriot, John McCain ?

October 312009

Receiving more Thumbs UP than Obama, on the Secular Progressive Chat Forum – Yahoo Answers. These must be the same Polls that showed John Kerry winning the Election in 2004. Now a more reliable Poll, which is the most recent Gallup Poll, showed President Bush with only a 24% approval rating. Bad Right – Not so quick, this very same Poll also incorporated the same methodology of statistical sampling that has your Democrat Controlled Congress with an unbelievable Piss Poor Rating only 12%. Your guy Obama is part of this Piss Poor performance rating of 12%. In other words, 88% of Americans are Pissed OFF at the Incompetent Wanna Be Rapper – OBAMA.

Ain’t it the truth.Very good question & info.He might consider being a rapper after he loses. As long as someone else writes the words,he can spew ‘em.Then i could get a dvd of it & get that annoying cat down the street.

Congress vs. House of Representatives?

October 312009

i just wanted to know which one is higher..on levels of government?…..and which one would you guys rather be a member of?…..
i ment congress vs. Senate srry

The U.S. Congress consists of two bodies: The Senate, made up of two members from each state, and the House of Representatives, whose members are allocated to the States by population. Thus a populous but relatively small State like Rhode Island may elect as many representatives as a very large but thinly populated State like Montana.
To answer your question, I would personally rather be a member of the Senate than be President. He can’t do a thing unless a majority of both the Senate and the House agree to it, and Senators only have to stand for reelection every six years.

Did George Bush want a democratic congress so he could pass his amnesty program for illegal aliens?

October 312009

I don’t see how anyone could have wanted the demon-crats in power, but as they love criminals. they will give all illegals amnesty and give each one in a prison money to get a new start. The problem is what they give is tax money so it costs us and never them, A demon-crat never gives to charity – ever – they think that government should give everything to anyone who will not work.

Would U Vote For Someone Who Has A Voting Record Like This? I Sure Hope So!?

October 312009

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Beware of those who call him a traitor and isolationist, its all propaganda by corporate giants and the political elite to keep the system running "as is". If you are uppermiddleclass, middleclass, or poor, and want positive change vote Ron Paul in 2008. Dont be fooled!!
Who is he? Do you mean Don Paul? He is a closet liberal. Just vote for Hillary. Ron Paul is toast, He’s a tratior, his values and goals are against everything the Republican party stand for? What the FU*K? Are the people above who left these stupid remarks in their answers the real problem with our country? Thanks Twin MaMa and ThomasS, but Ryan said my question was one of the best he has seen so how could I not vote for him? This coming election will decide which way this nation will go, they say this every election but the "Time Is Coming"-Testament(great song)- where if we elect the same old same old, we will continue with larger government control, lower wages, higher taxes, higher crime, a continuing gap between the rich and poor, loss of most if not all civil liberties, an open border policy that will destroy our sovernty and American workforce, no chance in hell of the average person/family to live the American dream. Is this what you want? NO! Vote Ron Paul in 2008. Think-Vote!
If the same old same old gets in, this is what will happen. Nothing. Nothing will change except new laws that will further destroy our constitution and everything it stands for. We are at the halfway point of our country being completly sold out to the highest bidders, the top 1% and their foreign counterparts have a plan and your not in it! We are at the point if nothing is done now there will be no hope for it at a later time. Hillary, Obama, Mr. New Mexico? Please. Maybe Dennis. Romney, Rudy, Fred Thompson? Are you kidding me, a former lobbyist for the big corporations? Thompson is just a wolf in sheeps clothing, he is a complete fraud and his only purpose is to make money for himself and his partners, sound familar? We as Americans have been betrayed by the Bush administration and most of Congress, it’s time to fight back with the vote, violence is the last option and I hope it does not come to that but as for me I have had enough and will not tolerate anymore bullsh*t! I promise.

He’s a good person and even though I don’t agree with all his policies, I would vote for him before anyone else currently running. He’s not a closet liberal, he’s a libertarian that needed the backing of a strong party, hence the reason why he’s a registered republican.

Finally! Awesome question making some very good points! One of the very few I’ve seen on Yahoo Answers! Thank you very much!

Is Congress justified in their name-calling of health care protesters at town hall meetings?

October 312009

Posted in congress | 5 Comments »

Everyone heard about the health care town halls and people standing and blasting congress people for supporting "reform." Lately, congressional liberals have characterized these people by accusing them of being in the back pocket of big business and being stirred up by those creating a "astro-turf" movement. I don’t understand… Isn’t this what liberals support? I thought they were all about protesting and grass-roots efforts. Isn’t this exactly what President Obama did as a community organizer? Why are these protesters being accused of these things without any evidence to back it up? I want to here the liberal explanation of this.

Liberals only support shouting, shrieking, and protesting when it’s in THEIR favor.

How might a political party use gerrymandering to help elect it’s candidates to Congress?

October 292009

Well, here’s an example from Merry Old England. Where I live is a predominantly working class area with a large Muslim community. However, the constituency goes over the river, up over the hill and down the other side to ensure we are outnumbered by those nice white, middle class people in the posh estate up on the ridge. So, we are outnumbered. That is gerrymandering. Another way is to have constituencies of different sizes, so it takes 10,000 votes to elect a corrupt conservative, but 100,000 to elect a good leftie.
